26th June 2015 (Friday) - the Inaugurating Concert of the 20th Jubilee Summer Jazz Festival. Nigel Kennedy with his jazz band and the Beethoven Academy Orchestra performed in ICE Krakow - Congress Centre.
The Concert entitled: 'For a Friend' was dedicated to Jarek Śmietana, with whom Nigel Kennedy collaborated for several years.
In addition to compositions by J. S. Bach and N. Kennedy, artists performed pieces of work by J. Śmietana. This was also the inauguration of the Jarek Śmietana International Jazz Guitar Competition.

28th June 2015 (Sunday) - took place the 1st Concert of Nigel Kennedy in NOSPR in Katowice.
Nigel Kennedy was accompanied by a string quintet, his English-Polish jazz band, oboist Mariusz Pędziałek and pianist Paweł Tomaszewski. The artists performed music by J. S. Bach, as well as Nigel Kennedy's compositions and jazz standards.

Nigel Kennedy is one of the greatest violin virtuosos, whose multimillion sales of album with 'Four Seasons' by Vivaldi in the 80s broke all records. For many years, he has been surprising the world with different projects on the borderline of classical, jazz and rock music. In addition to multiple albums with classical music, Nigel Kennedy recorded albums with music by J. Hendrix, The Doors and The Who bands, Kate Bush, as well as with the stars of jazz music Rony Carter, Jack DeJohnette, Joe Lovano.
